My Inspiration

A recent comment I received from a kid I traded links with. Her/his inspiration is Yuu Watase.
And she is rather correct. My inspiration to make full comic books rather than JUST drawing characters was all thanks to Cardcaptor Sakura, from CLAMP. Now, for those of you who arent old school, Cardcaptor Sakura's characters were all incorperated into TSUBASA. Syaoran Li (in english its shoaran for some stupid reason) was my favorite character.
That comic was my first exposer to graphic novels. Because of it, much of my style is derived from CLAMP style. Of course, I havent read it in years. about 4 years I think? I pulled myself away from most of my beloved manga so that I could fall into my own style. Over time the eyes changed and so did the costume designs.
Now the eyes are simply how I see eyes. Akio's eyes are clear blue, intense, almost glowing, and his pupils are very small most of the time to give him an in-human quality. His hair changes after the prologue, but yes, the way it is styled is very similar to Li's in Tsubasa. Of course, that is coincidence. Akio was NOT designed to look anything like Li. As my style developed, so did CLAMPS and it just so happened that we went in the same direction. Of course, they're all much better than me, but considering how young I am, I think I am catching up fast.
Aero's character design was based on Havoc from FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST. Yes, thats right. The patch of dark hair. hehe, there are lots of jokes we make about that patch of hair, coming up after the prologue.
You were all introduced to Rane Urosaki on page 4, and though he's only been in 2 pages so far, you'll see that he is very important. I designed him, inspired by FRUITS BASKET to make a long haired male, a beautiful man. Turned out quite nice. xD my mother was actually the only one who could tell he was a man just by lookin at his face.
Soon you will be introduced to Lord Cyrus, and all I will tell you about him is that his design was all my imagination...pretty much of the perfect man. >>;
Golden hair, emerald eyes....ahhhh yes. So perdy. But not a pansy, mind you. You'll see. Yooouuu'll seee...
