ABOUT THE CHRONICLES OF THE DRAGON SLAYER:
DS started on a plane trip to Seattle. I drew a picture of Akio Mansai (A.k.a. "Rage"), a 16 year old with spiky black hair and a cross shaped scar on his cheek. I wont go into too much detail, it's a long story.
The first drawing of Rage was made in June 2003. From there on out, DS was the #1 priority for Blizzcom. The first DS volume, my very first 30-page manga, was finished later that year. Originally, Aero was the main character, and the story was much simpler. That version of DS was an almost finished first season when I quit.In 2005, I restarted DS. I only made it 18 pages into volume 1 before quitting again. It was time to change the style. I had been drawing like other artists, using other people's styles. I decided that I wanted my own style. So, basically, I forced myself to quit reading manga and watching anime. And I did it too. I went about two years without reading or watching. Then, in the summer of 2007, the new style was finally developing. I finalized it officially in the summer of 2008. It became an odd mix of what looked like my old CLAMP style and Samurai Champloo...or at least, I think so. Anyway, page developement went slowly in 2007. I only got to page 9 in that whole year...it was because I was drawing them, scanning them, and digitally re-drawing them. See the comic, you'll get what I mean. Each page took about 26 hours to complete. (I timed it...) SO! On page 10 or so, I started inking. I started this on January 1st, 2008. YAY! <3 And now look--DS is well underway.
